Dave’s Stack – What is Captain Blue Hen Reading? – June 28

It has been quite some time since an installment of the TOP o’ My Stack feature where I tell you what comic I’m most excited about for the week. Absolutely none of you sent emails or Tweets or Facebook messages or phone calls or accosted me about it at the store, so I knew I had to bring it back–I was getting the silent treatment. With the return of the Stack, I call it Dave’s Stack – What is Captain Blue Hen Reading? – June 28 because I hope that we will add someone else showing you what we read some weeks!

Dave's Stack - What is Captain Blue Hen Reading? - June 28Featuring at the Top o’ My Stack:
FLASH #25
DC COMICS
Writer: Joshua Williamson
Artist: Howard Porter

To me, DC Rebirth is the beginning of the return of good DC Comics stories because they are going to do right by their history by fixing some of the things they broke in New 52 and putting some of the heart back in. I am getting into Flash again because of my curiosity about “The Button” storyline that is part of giving the characters back their history and former relationships. I always like the classic team-up of Barry Allen and Hal Jordan so I really liked the last two issues. Now we continue some of the mystery and intrigue from “The Button” with more Eobard Thawne as Reverse-Flash. I’m on for the ride.

DC Comics says: “RUNNING SCARED” part one! When Eobard Thawne murdered Barry Allen’s mother, he killed a piece of The Flash’s past. Now, Reverse-Flash is back to kill Barry’s future! The Flash’s biggest storyline yet begins as he is pushed to his limits and his secrets are laid bare in a chase through time itself! Don’t miss the extra-sized anniversary issue!
