Last year I reviewed Giant Days and I mentioned that comics can tell any kind of story. We are lucky that there are so many good comics these days but where is the variety in genre? Superheroes are over-represented. Most of the other comic books are horror, science fiction, and fantasy. This is understandable because comic books are a visual medium and well-suited to show the trappings of fantasy. You know what is under-represented? Comedy! Everyone likes to laugh. Giant Days is an understated situation comedy about the first days of college. Giant Days is cute and funny, and even though I am far removed from my own college days, I am entertained. Check it out.

Boom! Studios says: “When Esther and Susan get mega bummed-out and are feeling non-jazzed about life, Daisy takes them camping up in the peaks to feel better.”
