The ‘Stack’ is back!
DAVE is excited to read DAREDEVIL #2 this week!
Mark Waid has remade Daredevil and Matt Murdock without resetting or ignoring anything that has gone before. DD didn’t used to be a grim avenger. He liked being a hero and was more of a happy adventurer/swashbuckler. Waid has Murdock make a conscious decision to stop brooding and try to push the negativity out of his life and start anew. It’s cool to see the new attitude with the added drama of waiting to see whether Matt can keep up the positivity.
Waid also chooses to explore in greater depth the way DD “sees” the world. Artist Paolo Rivera takes this ball and runs with it. Rivera’s stylish art makes for effective “special fx” and masterful story-telling. Gene Colan would approve.
